Work continues on the dorm at Hosetta School for Children with Mental Challenges. Our primary concern all along has been for the safety of the children. Tom has been careful to reinforce the ceiling structure, beams, etc... to the best quality available in Sierra Leone. We look forward to the day the kids move in. We are not on a specific time table, but are keeping our fingers crossed for the fall semester!

Watching the boys interact with each other along with the team showed how God had prepared every heart. Thanks to Charles for ministering the love of God to the street children of Waterloo. May God's grace continue to surround Becky and Tom who so diligently serve so many in Sierra Leone. My heart has forever been touched! All glory to God for what He has done!

......from teammate Nathan during the camp......
To sum up the week so far, we have been asked by many of the children, "Is today the last day of the camp? When is the last day of the camp? I do not want to leave!" Wow, what a humbling thing it is to see how desperate the children are for the love and care that we have given them in Christ's name. Wow, how humbling it is to share the Gospel to the "least of these."
Every child arrived to the Hope Centre wearing worn and torn clothing. The team welcomed each boy and began the first day with a hair cut for everyone. Following that, your partnership allowed each child a new pair of clothing and sandals. One by one each face lit up with joy as they picked out their favorite colors of clothing. Again, these clothes were given by the generosity of 25 Partners. What a tremendous joy!
Abraham, Hassan and each child shared their name, age and dream for the future. One after another they repeatedly said, "I just want to go to school someday." What a heartbreaking response that revealed to the team just how much this trip and the 25 Project partnership will mean to these children. Charles, who is from Sierra Leone and lives here, is our drop-in center director. He is an anointed leader along with his team!
We ended the night with Kent Jones, Executive Director of the 25 Project, sharing a message about how God deeply loves and wants to touch each of their lives.
Thank you for being a part of this story!
