Camp for Waterloo Boys

Another 27 boys attended our October camp last week. From these, 20 will soon be up for sponsorship! Case stories with pictures are in the works, and they will be on display for Orphan Sunday on November 3rd. We are so thankful to FBC McKinney and 25project for their passion for these guys!!!

Waterloo Boys In School!!!

Nineteen of our 23 Waterloo street boys who are now in school gathered to meet our October team. What a blessing it is to see God at work through the sponsorship program!!!  All these have been placed in homes since February, and began school in September.  Many will begin specialized tutoring this month because of huge gaps in learning. Some have never attended school.  THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SPONSOR!!!

Waterloo street boys back to school!!!!

Hi everyone! We are so terribly behind on updates, but there are simply a million wonderful things going on here in Sierra Leone!  God is AMAZING us these days!!!  This pic shows some of the boys who have been reunified with extended family members or placed with other families since February! Through our sponsorship program, the families receive 55 pounds of rice monthly, and the boys are in school, some for the first time in their lives!!!  We now have 23 boys in homes and school, and we are targeting the next 20 who have the greatest potential for placement by January to begin school as the 2nd semester opens. Thank you for your prayers and support!!!

Gabe, Sada, Isaiah & Lucas

We've had a blast the past 6 weeks with Dr Gabe and family back in the compound!  They will depart Saturday to fulfill requirements for his USA citizenship. We'll miss them terribly, but once the process is complete, they will return!! We pray that all will fall into place QUICKLY!!

Thank you, Kaysie!

So thankful for our friend Kaysie with Willamette Int'l! A couple of times each year she comes to Dr Gabe's dental clinic on his day off to clean teeth for our team of missionaries and theirs!  This time we discovered that Bo had an extra tooth that should not be there, and it was pushing the real one out of place. Today, as a follow up, Dr Gabe yanked it right out!  Well, he didn't "yank," but that was what I told Bo he was gonna do. HA! All went well, and Bo is already out playing. So grateful for our friends who dedicate their lives to serve the Lord in this country!!!

A new road in the works!

First pic: a small bridge we've used for years.
Second & third pics: new bridge under construction!
Forth pic: the road on either end of the bridge in progress!
Our lives will become so much easier after December when a stretch of road
that includes several bridges should be complete!
We will be able to access main roads that will cut travel time drastically!
Can't wait!
