Philippians 1:20

…my own eager desire and persistent expectation and hope (is),
that I shall not disgrace myself
nor be put to shame in anything;
but that with the utmost freedom of speech
and unfailing courage,
now as always heretofore,
Christ (the Messiah)
will be magnified and get glory and praise
in this body of mine and be boldly exalted in my person,
whether through life or through death.

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland
[for] the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise." Isaiah 43:18-19, 21

...my verse for 2008.

Thanks so much for the family picture - - love it/love your family.

Got together with our group last night - - laughed our heads off, and shared about the Lord. I was blessed.

I remember that you like Henry Blackaby: he has a good article on the Baptist Press website. (It even has part of your blog name in it! )

Fought my way through an ear infection over the week-end. Feeling much better today. I was main-lining saline spray and natural ear drops.

Did the big attic clean-out (which is what led to my infection) - took Karen her stuff, since she has her own attic. (The floor area of our attic is so small!) Anyway, we got rid of a lot of our stuff as well. It is good to simplify, and I want to do more. I have been through much of my things the past year - cookbooks, clothes, sewing stuff, dishes, everything and just kept what I loved or needed.
I am after Chuck to go through his "shop"....(translation: pile of C***) and do the same, keeping what he needs and uses.

Faith is being recognized by the school board today. Neal's brass quintet (The Great Value Quintet - haha) played for a wedding last week-end; he arranged the music.

Me: I'm asking the Lord what He wants to do with me this year. (And, of course, trying to get off a few pounds I gained AFTER the holidays...I always do that: do well DURING, then after I drop my guard. WHY do I do that??? Crazy. Anyway, here I am with the consequences.)

Love you. Have a great day.

Hello my dear Ang,

Thank you for your newsy comment!!

Sorry to hear about your ear infection. Do you know I have continued to be well since I used the sinus cleanse patented formula you suggested. Almost the whole family has been sick at one time or another since Thanksgiving, but not me! Thank you! And praise the Lord!

I spent hours getting the house back together on Dec 30-31. Oh my! It was a mess from the kids being here, Christmas tree and all. It was a relief to get it done. Of course, now it needs a good cleaning again. Ya know, it's like stringing beads on a string with no knot in the end. Sigh!

Your kids have such talent!! I am proud of them!

I've had the most aggravating experience since the week before Christmas. A bogus company out of CA made an unauthorized debit on my card. Yes, I had to "hot card" that one and get a new one. I happened to be at the end of my check blanks at that time, so I've basically been "out of business" for almost two weeks while I waited for new checks and card. Gruff! :)

I sure love you! I believe God has something extraordinary and totally unexpected for you as far as ministry. "A NEW THING!"
